Join our presentation for a session all about anxiety in the classroom. We will be discussing and working through what anxiety is, how it can present itself in kids - in the classroom, and methods for helping students who have anxiety. We have hands on interactive activities for our participants to work through. Our aim is to give future teachers some simple tools they can use in their classroom, with their students, to help create a better learning environment for them. Everybody will feel anxious at some point in their life, but when being anxious starts to impede learning and development there are many tools teachers can use to alleviate the anxiety of students. In this presentation, we will discuss methods as a whole for helping students with anxiety and we will also touch on specific anxieties that students have, such as anxiety surrounding math or foreign language anxiety (when teaching a second language).
